About Ladybug Landscapes and Decorah Floral

At Ladybug Landscapes and Decorah Floral, we are more than just your average florist! Speedy, reliable deliveries and customer care that's beyond compare... these are just two things that set us apart.

Anita received her BS in Horticulture and Al received his BS in Dairy Science at Iowa State University.  We wanted to be in northeast Iowa where we both grew up.   So, we started our small landscape company out of our home, in the spring of 1994, and from there it has grown to its present location.

 We added the floral part of our business in 2009, when we saw a need in the community. Ladybug Landscapes and Decorah Floral are located on a busy corner in Decorah, Iowa.  We have lots of outdoor space and are able to showcase a lot of our products in a home like setting!   We also have an Airbnb, just down the block, called #3 Ladybug Lane! 

We are truly a small family-owned business!  This means we have control of ALL of our inventory and product lines!   We feel this is important and something to celebrate!!

 Besides, Anita and Al (the owners) and our 4 children (all who grew up at Ladybug Landscapes), we have 2 women, (Keri and Dawn) who have been with us for almost 20 years each, and other seasonal help for our landscaping side of the business.  Also, we have some fur babies, Russell, Lennard, and Carl!

 People come to us for all kinds of advice, from plant identification to helping with how to coordinate an event!   It seems like we are doing community outreach all day long!   We are also located on a busy corner in town and often give directions and advice on what to do!! 

Living and working in our own community are important to all of us at Ladybug Landscapes and Decorah Floral!!   We are your "gardening friends"!! (and neighbors)
